About DIVA

The Denver Art Museum has rolled out the red carpet for DIVA! Step into an exhilarating exhibition celebrating the radical power, creativity, and cultural impact of nearly 100 iconic performers. From 20th-century divas like Josephine Baker and Maria Callas to modern-day powerhouses including Cher, Aretha Franklin, Lady Gaga, Dolly Parton, Beyoncé, Elton John, Rihanna, Lil Nas X, and more, DIVA reveals how these stars have used fashion and performance not only to entertain, but also to demand visibility and inspire social change.

Prepare for a jaw-dropping journey featuring over 250 objects, including 60 show-stopping costumes worn by these legends, along with rare personal artifacts and memorabilia. As the exhibition’s only U.S. venue, the Denver Art Museum is your exclusive opportunity to experience DIVA. On view October 4, 2026 – January 31, 2027.

Step into the spotlight at the DIVA photo booth in the Great Hall on October 17 from 10am to 2pm. Capture your own DIVA-inspired moment and take home a photo from your visit to Denver Union Station along with other DIVA swag. This event is free.
