Win $10,000 Cash — Just Throw a Lasso

The $10,000 Lasso Toss is bringing western fun to Denver Union Station on Saturday, May 16 from 12 PM–5 PM at South Wynkoop Plaza in the heart of downtown Denver. This event benefits the Denver Children’s Foundation.

This free public event gives guests the chance to test their roping skills for prizes including a $10,000 cash grand prize. No experience is required — just show up, sign in, and give it your best shot.

The event officially kicks off with the “First Toss” at 12 PM, featuring opening festivities and special appearances before the competition begins.

How It Works

Each contestant receives one throw at three steer targets placed at different distances. Rope a target and win a prize.

Prizes:

• Rope the 40-foot steer: Win $10,000 cash
• Rope the 25-foot steer: Win two free Denver Barn Party tickets
• Rope the 15-foot steer: Receive $25 off up to two Denver Barn Party tickets

Contest Rules

• Entry is free
• All contestants must register onsite and complete a waiver
• Participants receive one throw at each target
• Valid ropes must land around both horns, around the neck, or as a half-head catch
• Professional rodeo competitors are not eligible for the $10,000 grand prize
• The $10,000 cash prize is limited to one winner

More Than a Contest

Beyond the competition, guests can enjoy country music, western-inspired entertainment, appearances from National Western professional ropers, and a lively atmosphere throughout South Wynkoop Plaza.
