Wieners on Wynkoop
Get ready for an afternoon of dachshund races, German-inspired fun, and plenty of wieners! Wieners on Wynkoop starts for the first time at Denver Union Station for a celebration of dachshunds, German-American culture, and community.
Hosted by the German Culture Foundation and Mile High Dachshunds Rescue, the event will feature dachshund races, a costume contest, activities, live music, food, drinks, prizes, and more.

Activities & Programming
Dachshund Races | 1:00-2:30 | Register Online & Onsite
Watch adorable dachshunds race to the finish line and cheer on your favorite pup. Registration is onsite.
Costume Contest | 2:30-3:30 | Registration Online and Onsite
Dress your dachshund in their best costume for a chance to show off their style. Costumes are encouraged! Prizes for humans and dogs!
Bobbing for Wieners
Dog treats with a twist! Dogs can take part in bobbing for hot dog treats throughout the event.
Caricature Artist
Get a fun caricature of yourself or your pup to take home.
Beer Garden
Grab a beer and enjoy the festivities from the Terminal Bar Patio.
Live Music | Steve Rock Tanzkapelle

Steve Rock Tanzkapelle brings the ultimate German-American, Polka party to Wieners on Wynkoop. Led by accordionist Steve Rock, the group delivers a high-energy mix of traditional Oktoberfest classics alongside favorite German and American hits.
Grab a stein and get ready to dance—Prosit!
Food & Drink
Terminal Bar will be serving a special Beer Bratwurst topped with sauerkraut, available exclusively for the event.
Enjoy Bavarian pretzels, cinnamon sugar pretzels, and traditional Vienna apple strudel from Kaiser Bakery.
Prizes
Denver Union Station will be giving away prizes throughout the event, including:
Grand prizes for race heat winners and costume contest winners (humans & dogs!).
